MacDonald's and the Spirit of The West

How do you capture the Spirit of the West in a 9 minute video? It's an impossible task. Can you go out to MacDonald's and have a gourmet meal? Perhaps not! Nevertheless, if you hungry you can have something to eat and that is a good thing.
The spirit of the west is not some physical thing that you can touch or taste or even capture.
The spirit of the west exist some where between the heart and mind and in between the conscience and the sub conscience. The task then becomes how can you use physical things to describe spiritual things.

Quilts are a intricate part of the video Spirit Of the West, because they can not only tell a story of the quilter who made them, but also for whom they were made.
If a picture is worth a thousand words, how many words does a quilt speak?
“Perhaps the mystical part of quilts—the aspect that makes them almost human—is the countless hours of work and devotion it took to create a masterpiece of the heart.”

“Beyond their beauty and usefulness, quilts possess a magic that will never die, for all of life's hopes and fears, loves and hates have been sewn into them.”
The same spirit that exists in a quilt is the same type of of spirit that exists in the spirit of the west.
